Record Status
Both BBS Archery Section and AGB UK Records can be claimed.
We intend to claim AGB UK records for both the Single and Double Rounds, however this may not be possible due to a discrepancy in AGB literature.
BBS Archery Record claims can be made as long as the equipment used meets the AGB rules (Rules of Shooting 1107(d)).
AGB UK Record claims can be made as long as the equipment used, in addition to the AGB rules,
also meet the World Archery equipment rules (21.12.4 in Book 3).
See links in Entry Requirements, Registration and Equipment Inspection for both sets of rules.
AGB Record Status tournaments such as this are liable for drug testing. If asked to take a test you must comply, a refusal will be treated as a positive result.
Entry Requirements, Registration and Equipment Inspection
Valid BBS and Archery GB (or other World Archery affiliated organisation) memberships are required as well as a valid Sight Classification certificate. The following will be required for inspection at registration on the day.
- Proof of current AGB membership (or other World Archery affiliated organisation).
- Proof of current BBS membership.
- A valid BBS Sight Classification certificate suitable for archery.
Alternatively, valid, suitable IBSA or World Archery classifications can be used but BBS classifications are preferred.
Any classification must state a single Sight Classification (e.g. B1, B2 or B3, B4 etc.).
Entry to the competition may be refused if you fail to show any of the above information.
Equipment inspection will take place during practice prior to the morning session. During inspection the Judges will assess compliance with the relevant AGB and WA rules.
Any changes to equipment after it has been inspected must be reported to the judges for inspection.
Links to both sets of rules can be found on the BBS Archery website, Archery GB Rules of Shooting and World Archery Rules.
Shooting Categories
During entry you will be asked for your acuity sight classification and sighting method. You will then be placed in one of the shooting categories as defined in the BBS Archery Shooting Category Definition Document. If your acuity sight classification changes between entry and the tournament, please inform the Tournament Secretary and the new classification will be used.
You are required to be compliant with all aspects of the relevant category on the day of shooting, including the wearing of blackouts as and when required.
Awards
Awards will be given in the BBS Archery Shooting Categories and presented at the end of the tournament.
Awards will be based on total score.
For the purposes of the awards the organisers reserve the right to combine Shooting Categories, bow types and/or genders depending on entries.
